I worked alongside Schroders’ Brand and Corporate Comms teams to create a new and refreshed visual identity for Schroders TV. The brief was to move away from something that felt like a traditional corporate conference, and towards the inviting, captivating and exciting world of television. Compliance had approved for this content to be shared globally, and externally on Schroders’ web and social media channels, so the look and feel had to work across various digital assets.
The evolved identity is simple, bold, and colourful, which creates a vibrant energy that was missing in the previous look. It still feels professional and sophisticated, yet brings new light and energy to the serious news stories.
We intentionally hero the TV in the wordmark, with a rectangular shape that evoked a digital screen, and can be used as a framing device for a variety of content. The streamlined colour palette centred around the brand’s more vibrant tones – orange, yellow and pink – provides a contemporary and lively look and feel, with a free form gradient that is flexible and adds movement.
Project completed at Schroders in 2021. I was responsible for design, and worked in collaboration with Schroders’ Senior Brand and Advertising Manager, and the Corporate Comms team.
